Oversight at Papa John’s- May 2nd

Built over a railyard that was in operation from the 1860’s until the 1980’s, the University of Louisville Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium faces environmentally challenging scenarios during every phase of construction or expansion. Extensive studies and working with the regulatory community have allowed the University to provide this state of the art athletic facility to the larger community while being protective of the employees, players and the public.

The stadium is currently undergoing a $14.5 million expansion to add the UofL Athletics Association Thornton’s Academic Center for Excellence, which will house a dedicated educational facility for all the university’s athletes. Ameriphysics has been retained by the university to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the environmental work to be conducted during the expansion to ensure regulatory requirements are being met while working with the project team to overcome technical hurdles and tight schedules. The facility is on schedule to be completed in June 2016.
